1. Who decides your refund? #
When an organizer lists an event or course, it sets a cancellation and refund policy: for example no refund, a partial refund, or a full refund inside a stated window. The policy is shown before you pay. Please read it, because it is the rule that applies to your order.
- If the policy says there is no refund, there is none, except where the sections below give you one, or where the law does.
- Tickets are not refundable only because your plans changed, you cannot attend, you arrive late, or you are refused entry for breaking the venue's rules.
- Nothing here takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
2. What happens in each situation? #
| Situation | Do you get a refund? | Who decides |
|---|---|---|
| The organizer cancels the event | Yes, as the organizer's event terms say: ticket price, or the whole order including the fee if the organizer chooses | The organizer |
| The event is postponed or moved | Your ticket normally stays valid for the new date. A refund if you cannot attend the new date depends on the organizer's policy | The organizer |
| The event changes a lot (venue, line-up, format) | As the organizer's policy says | The organizer |
| You cannot attend, or your plans change | Only if the organizer's policy allows it | The organizer |
| You arrive late or miss the entry time | No | The organizer |
| You are refused entry for breaking venue rules or for unsafe behaviour | No | The organizer and venue |
| You are charged twice for the same order | Yes, the extra amount in full | ticketprix |
| Money is taken but no order is confirmed | Yes, in full, if the order cannot be confirmed | ticketprix |
| We decline your order after you paid (pricing error, technical error, suspected fraud) | Yes, in full including the fee | ticketprix |
| Your ticket is lost, stolen or copied | No. We can re-send it to the number or email on the order | ticketprix |
| The ticket was bought with a stolen card, or resold above face value | No. The ticket can be cancelled and is invalid for entry | ticketprix |
| A course or live online event is cancelled by the organizer | Yes, as the organizer's terms say | The organizer |
3. If an event is cancelled or postponed #
- The organizer decides whether to cancel, postpone or change an event, and how to refund. This includes causes beyond anyone's control, such as natural calamity, government order or public safety.
- If an event is cancelled, the organizer decides whether the refund covers the ticket price, the whole order or something else, based on its event terms. The organizer starts the refunds from its console.
- We tell you about a cancellation or postponement using the details on your order, once the organizer tells us. Your ticket and the event page show the latest status.
- You do not need to do anything to be included in an organizer's refund for a cancelled event. If you have not seen your refund after the time shown below, write to us.
4. The Convenience Fee #
The fee pays for running the platform: checkout, ticket delivery, payment handling and support. When an organizer cancels or postpones an event, ticketprix does not refund the Convenience Fee or internet handling charges paid for the booking, unless the organizer chooses to refund the full amount including the fee. Organizers can do this from their console where their event terms cover it.
If we cancel an order because of our own error, a duplicate charge or a failed booking, we refund the fee too.
5. Failed, duplicate and declined payments #
- If money leaves your account but you get no confirmation, wait a short while. Many payments confirm late. If you still have no ticket, write to support@ticketprix.com with the payment details.
- If a payment is taken but the order cannot be confirmed, or you are charged twice for the same order, we refund the extra or unconfirmed amount in full to the original payment method.
- If we decline an order after you paid, we refund you in full.
- We never ask for your OTP, PIN or card password. Pay only on ticketprix pages or through pay links sent from official ticketprix or organizer channels.
6. Courses and live online events #
- Courses. The rule usually looks at how much of the course you have watched and how many days have passed since you bought it. Open the course in My learning to see the rule that applies to you. The organizer's course terms apply.
- Live online events. A ticket holds one seat for one person. If the organizer cancels the session, the organizer's policy decides the refund. Missing a session you could have joined is not a ground for a refund.
- Sharing and copying. If access is withdrawn because a login or join link was shared, or course material was copied, there is no refund.
- Your device or network. Trouble caused by your device, your internet or the third-party meeting platform is not a ground for a refund. Write to us if a session could not be joined because of something on our side.
7. Pay at venue and pay links #
- A place you reserve and pay for at the venue is not a paid ticket. You pay the organizer directly, on the organizer's terms, so any refund is between you and the organizer.
- A pay link sent to you is for the named order only and can expire. A payment made through it is refunded under the same rules as any other payment for that event.
8. Coins, coupons and rewards on a refund #
- Coins you used on a refunded order come back to your Coins balance and keep their original expiry date.
- Coins and rewards you earned from an order that is later refunded or cancelled can be taken back. Referral Coins stay pending until your friend's booking is safe from refunds.
- A coupon used on a refunded order is not always given back. The coupon's own terms say.
- Coins have no cash value. They are never paid out as money.
The full rules are in Coins, offers, coupons and rewards.
9. How and when a refund is paid? #
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. If that is not possible, we use another method you agree to.
- An approved refund is normally processed in about 5 to 7 working days. Your bank, card issuer or wallet may need extra time after that.
- Charges that the payment gateway does not return may be taken from a refund where the law and the organizer's policy allow it. We tell you before you confirm.
- You can see a refund against the order in your account, under Tickets.
10. How to ask for a refund? #
- Open the order under Tickets in your account and check the organizer's cancellation and refund policy for the event.
- If the policy allows a cancellation, ask for it from the order. If not, write to the organizer first, using the contact on the event page.
- If the organizer cannot help, or the problem is a payment or order error, write to support@ticketprix.com, or use the WhatsApp or phone support in the contact section. Give your name, the mobile number or email on the account, the order number and what went wrong.
- If you are not satisfied with the answer, use the grievance route below.
11. What organizers must do? #
- An organizer must set a clear refund policy for each event and follow it.
- If an organizer cancels an event, or an event does not take place as sold, the organizer must refund buyers as its policy and the law require, and bears the cost, including payment charges.
- If an organizer does not refund, ticketprix can refund buyers and recover the amount from the organizer, including by holding or setting off payouts.
The organizer terms are in Organizer terms.
12. Ads wallet, plans and creator deals #
- Ads wallet. Refunds of unused ads wallet money are handled as the ads console shows and as the law requires. To close an account that has a balance, write to brands@ticketprix.com. If an ad does not run as booked because of our fault, we run it again or credit your wallet for the part that did not run.
- Organizer plans and billing. If a bill looks wrong, write to support@ticketprix.com and we will check it and correct a billing error.
- Creator deals. If you and a brand disagree about work, our team reviews the deal records and decides how the reserved funds are released.
13. Chargebacks #
Please write to us before asking your bank for a chargeback. If you ask for a chargeback instead of using our complaint process, we may suspend the tickets and your account while it is reviewed, and we send the bank the records we hold. If the chargeback is found to be wrong, we may recover the amount and our costs. We would rather fix it with you directly.
